Since writing this morning’s blog entry, I was reminded of the Arab-Jewish school initiative. A few months ago some of us students volunteered to visit a centre which takes schoolchildren out of regular school for one day, and matches Arabs to Jews in number and in age. They simply teach them together, bilingually.
Those days of hope seem so distant.now….
…but it must still be happening, and they’re must still be Arab-Jewish friendships and families for whom this conflict is especially painful.
